Church of the Redeemer: Project New Garden Congregational Update
Volume 2, July 23, 2016–Contract Signed & Next Steps

Hello Redeemer Church Family,

Grace and peace to you from the Lord Jesus Christ! We pray that your growth and joy in the Lord is abounding this summer. We are excited to inform you that Church of the Redeemer took a significant step forward this Tuesday night, July 19. At our monthly Shepherd Team (board of directors) meeting, the Shepherd Team voted unanimously to sign a contract for the purchase of 5572 Garden Village Way, our first permanent church home.

Now that both we and the seller have signed the purchase contract, our 60 day due diligence period has begun. During this time we will conduct inspections, meet again with the city representatives, finalize a proposed architectural design, secure construction renovation bids and finalize our bank loan terms.

Thank you for each of your financial pledges, which are making this dream a reality. A member of our finance team will be in touch soon to provide details on a variety of ways to make your pledge payments, whether automatic draft, check or other options. We also anticipate inviting work crews out to the property, once we close and take possession of the facility, likely sometime in October.   We will keep you posted on volunteer and “sweat equity” service opportunities as they become available.

Last but not least, we’d like to add a couple pictures highlighting the progress that is underway. Above is our realtor (Scott Vosburgh), Senior Lay Leader (Lee Williams), and Executive Pastor (Elijah Lovejoy) signing the New Garden Nursery purchase contract. Below is a first architectural draft of proposed sanctuary renovations to transform the New Garden Nursery retail space into a place of worship. May the Lord continue to similarly transform us into a people for his fame and glory. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Grace & Peace,

Elijah Lovejoy, Executive Pastor
Lee Williams, Senior Lay Leader
Jeff Whitworth, Junior Lay Leader
