Alan and Angela Kaye Hawkins
Rector/Senior Pastor

Alan serves as the Senior Rector of Church of the Redeemer. He and Angela Kaye have been married since 1993. Alan graduated from Oklahoma State University and Reformed Theological Seminary. Having served nearly 15 years in College, Youth, and Pastoral Ministries, the Hawkins find great joy in leading, preaching, and shepherding. They have 5 children (Joshua, Emily, Athan, Ciaran and Ryan) and a very interesting dog named Tanner.

The Hawkins have helped, led, and assisted in 5 church plants since 1999 and are so grateful to call Greensboro their home.

 

Spencer and Renée Clifford
Deacon of Communications and Technology

Spencer serves Church of the Redeemer by leading Deaconal Ministries. He and Renee have been married since 1992 and have three great kids (Grace, Andrew, and Joy). Spencer has his Master's Degree from Reformed Theological Seminary while Renée has a Master's in Education from UNC-Greensboro. The Cliffords bring a great deal of experience to this church and a heart to see the church strengthend through men, women, and children who are growing in faith. Both Spencer and Renée served for over 15 years on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and for 8 years directed the Campus ministry in the greater Triad area.  They enjoy cheering for LSU and University of South Carolina (Spencer and Renée's Alma-Maters respetively) and playing with their Yellow Lab, Sandy.

 

David & Rhonda Lin
Worship & Discipleship Pastor

David Lin (or DL) serves Redeemer by leading our music and creative elements in worship services, as well as leading our outreach to local universities in Guilford County. He grew up in the Durham/Chapel Hill area and attended UNC-Chapel Hill, where he earned a degree in Journalism and Political Science, but spent most of his time as a Young Life leader serving students at Riverside High School. DL moved to Greensboro in 1996 to work on the Young Life staff and was involved in starting Young Life at Northwest High School, as well as leading at Ragsdale High School.

After many years as a student ministries pastor in Greensboro, the Lin's joined Redeemer in 2009.  He is also finishing his Theological Education at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC.

DL and his wife, Rhonda, have three children: Jennings, Sarah Mackenzie and Walker. He enjoys playing and writing music, anything involving sports, watching movies with his wife and spending time with his family.

 

Elijah & Brandi Lovejoy
Associate Pastor/Community Pastor
Children's Ministry Director

Elijah serves as our Community Pastor helping to foster the growth and fellowship of our church body.  Elijah is also the Chairman of Party on the Plank (an arts and music festival bringing cultural renewal to downtown High Point) and directs the Piedmont Winterfest in downtown Greensboro. 

Brandi has been in the education field for nine years.  Part of that time she served as the preschool director at a private Christian school.  Brandi now delights in spending more time at home with her first child, Charissa, and serving Church of the Redeemer as the Children’s Ministry Director. 

The Lovejoys met at Erskine College in Due West, SC, fell in love, got married and then went to seminary together at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida.  They both have spent time on the mission field in 6 or 7 different countries, and love seeing Jesus work in the lives of others to bring about transformation and love.

For fun Elijah likes to play basketball, go hiking, play with his dog (Dublin), day dream and play chess, Settlers of Catan or other board games. Together, the Lovejoys love to watch movies together, talk about life, hang out with friends and visit family.

 

 Dan & Connie Nobles, Executive Pastor

Dan serves at the Church of the Redeemer as executive pastor, responsible for organizing and integrating the functions of our various ministries. He also serves the Anglican Mission as leadership coach to church planters and church planting teams. Dan and Connie were married in 1976 and have been blessed with two daughters and four grandchildren. Dan completed more than thirty years in military service where he commanded and served as a strategic planner at the highest levels,including the Pentagon. After retiring as an Army Colonel in 2007, Dan and Connie left Washington DC and began seminary. His education culminated with a PhD in Ministry Leadership at Trinity Theological Seminary, Newburgh, Indiana. Through his knowledge and experience, Dan provides the church family skills in planning, leadership development, and missional ministry.

 

 

Drew and Natalie Hill
Youth Community Pastor

Drew serves Church of the Redeemer by leading our ministries to children, youth and families.  Originally from Winston-Salem, Drew and his wife, Natalie, both attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Drew has served on staff with Young Life in Durham/Chapel Hill; Cabarrus County, NC; and Littleton, CO. He has also been a youth pastor in Athens, Georgia.  Both Drew (M. Divinity) and Natalie (MA-Counseling) received Masters degrees from Denver Seminary in Colorado. The Hill's have one daughter, Honey Cate, who was born in July, 2009. 

In addition to directing the family ministries at Redeemer, Drew volunteers with Young Life at Northwest Guilford High School.


 

   

Chris and Jessie Meriwether
Family Ministries Intern

 Recent High Point University graduate, Chris Meriwether serves Church of the Redeemer as a Family Ministries Intern, assisting in both youth ministry and childrens ministry areas.  He and his wife Jessie are both from Black Mountain, NC, and have been married since 2009.  Jessie is also a HPU graduate and is continuing work at HPU pursuing a Masters Degree in Non-Profit Leadership.  Chris also serves the community as a volunteer leader with Young Life at Northwest Guilford High School and is helping coach the Cross Country team there.  In his spare time, Chris enjoys comic books and is an avid disc golf player.
