Almost two years ago, Church of the Redeemer made the decision to buy our current property and follow what we felt was God’s vision. It was a huge step for us. We went from being “nomadic,” with temporary set-ups, to having our own building(s), land, and more. We have been so blessed to be able to worship at New Garden Park for the last eight months and are immensely grateful for the many people who have given of their time and their resources to make that happen.

As we have been meeting, digging, planting, hosting, and growing, we have noticed an increasing need for some updates and new amenities to our new home. With over 100 children under the age of twelve, one of those primary needs is a playground. This is one example of an item that was on our original phase one plan that we were unable to do because simply occupying New Garden Park last July cost significantly more than we could have calculated. Now that we have somewhat settle in, there is a unique opportunity for us to step in and help out ministries who are still in immediate need.

We have so many amazing and impactful ministries at our church, it could be overwhelming to see needs from each one and know where to help out. If each ministry were to launch its own fundraiser, then we would be at a loss with who’s “ask” to attend to first. So instead of seeing flyers for children’s ministry, youth ministry, hospitality, the farm, the park, technology, etc, our staff and vestry decided to combine all of the pressing needs into one short-term campaign for the Spring of 2018; the Spring Forward Campaign.

Below you will find a list covering some of the major items and upgrades this campaign will fund. However, this is just an overview. If you would like a full itemized list feel free to email Jessie Meriwether and she would be happy to provide those details. Our vision for this Spring Forward Campaign is to raise $100,000 in order to complete all of the projects on our list.

  • A playground, swing set, and fenced area for our children.
  • Updates to The Grove (our modular); carpet, bathroom updates, nursery room dividers, etc.
  • Gravel removal and soil amendments for future gardening/landscaping phases.
  • A covered walkway between the greenhouse and The Grove.
  • Updated property signage.
  • Greenhouse updates; cooling fans, replacement panels, etc.

We ask that you prayerfully consider making a one-time donation or pledge by April 8th, so work can begin on many of these projects before summer. With your help, New Garden Park will continue to grow into the vision that has been over a decade in the making. Thank you for your generosity.

It is a joy to be joined with you in the body of Christ!
