Some say the Anglican Communion was started at the Reformation (1500s AD) when the Church of Rome in England broke away from Roman Catholic Church. Others would argue that the Anglican Church was founded as early as the 1st century when the Gospel was introduced in England and the Brtitsh Isles. Either way, the Anglican Communion is a worldwide body existing in more than 165 countries and many languages. So to be Anglican is to be connected to this body. One could easily worship at an Anglican church in Kenya as well as Singapore or in Bolivia.
