Park Mission Team: Umuganda Update Newsletter

Our Park Mission volunteer team has been doing a fantastic job sprucing up our property! They’ve begun sending out monthly newsletters and we wanted to share them! You can find their first one here!

Here’s just a snippet:

Lessons of the Gospel with this dogwood tree in our own garden:

1. Begin where you are.

2. Use what you've got.

3. Bloom where you're planted.

Now if you look out the side doors of the Meeting House to the Garden, you will see flowers and herbs growing (in addition to the weeds and grass we haven't done yet). We received some sandstone for stepping stones, which we (mostly Ashley Leonard) are installing bit by bit. The outside of the Oratory shed has been painted, so it's mostly the same color. We've spread fresh mulch and pine needles throughout the Garden, across the front entrance to the church and into the courtyard entry area. We've burned off a lot of the weeds growing between the brick pavers.
