We’re so glad you’re here!

How can I find you?

We are located at 5572 Garden Village Way in Greensboro, NC—we are right off of Old Oak Ridge Rd., near the Greensboro airport, and our offices are located just up the road at 5587 Garden Village Way, Suites A & B. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at info@redeemergso.org!

What is the service like?

Our English-speaking services last about 1.5 hours. They begin at 9 and 11 a.m. and we have a hospitality hour after each with coffee, snacks, and time to fellowship together. We also have an Arabic service which meets at 1 p.m. and an East African service at 3 p.m. in Swahili and Kinyarwandan. Once a month our international services host a joint service at 2 p.m. which everyone is welcome to join (you’ll find these dates on our calendar)!

People come to Redeemer in a wide array of attire. You will see people in anything from t-shirts, jeans, and flip-flops to suits, dresses, and heels. While many churches will split services between traditional and contemporary, we think that a blended style helps us grow as a congregation as we recognize diverse musical preferences in our church and across the world. The language and structure for our English services comes right out of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). We put the prayers and other call and response-type sections of our service up on the screens in our sanctuary so that whether you’re a long-time attender or a first-time visitor, you can follow along and participate in the worship service. What does it mean to be an Anglican Church?

2019-05-19 11.03.54.jpg

As Anglicans, we are part of the Anglican Church in North America through the Diocese of Christ Our Hope. We are connected to the Anglican Communion worldwide, the third largest Christian communion in the world with 85 million members worldwide in 165 countries. Like other Christian traditions and denominations, we are deeply rooted and united in the Christian faith of the One Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our common worship is both rooted and relevant, drawing us fully into God’s presence through Word, Sacrament, and the Holy Spirit. Our worship is liturgical, timeless, and adaptable. It opens the door to deep personal transformation for all who participate with hearts open to God. Our services mirror the worship of the ancient apostolic church while incorporating the common language and culture of the communities in which they are practiced.

If you would like to learn more about our service and how the liturgy we use impacts our daily lives, listen to this sermon from Rev. Drew Hill.

Redeemer is also a pro-cathedral of our diocese, which means that our founding pastor and bishop, the Rt. Rev. Alan Hawkins, has his “seat” as bishop at our church and that our church works to serve and strengthen our diocese through different services, ministries, and the offering of resources. How do my children participate?

fullsizeoutput_1c7e.jpeg

We believe it is our role as their faith community to help support families as they walk with the children through each stage of life. We offer nursery care (birth-3 years) and Children’s Liturgy (ages 4-5th grade) during the 9 and 11 a.m. services. We also offer youth classes during our 9 a.m. service on Sunday mornings and children’s catechesis classes (ages 3-13) on Wednesday nights during our Connections sessions to cultivate within our kids an understanding of God’s profound love for them and offer an opportunity for increased experience of what your child is already learning in your family life, and in the life of the church. Your children are also welcome to stay and worship with you throughout the service. Illustrated bulletins are offered in the Narthex (church entrance) for younger children. We love that our kids are a part of our church family!

When it comes to finding a church to call home, we know there are many questions and factors to consider. We would love to answer any questions you may have about Redeemer and the Anglican faith. If you click on the button below and fill out a brief form, you will receive a one-time “Welcome to Redeemer“ email with some more information about us, ways to get connected, and an option to meet with a member of our clergy.
