Webers in Rwanda: May Missions Update

Can you spot any Webers in this picture? :)

We sent out our dear Weber family as missionaries to our sister diocese in Gahini, Rwanda, on March 29th. They’re living among our Rwandan brothers and sisters there, working to strengthen our mission partnership and relationship with our sister parish through Friends of Gahini!

Here’s the Webers’ May newsletter update about their first couple of months in Rwanda, hosting their first team (many of whom were from our church!), and helping run a service at their church (the cathedral in Gahini!). You can find praises and prayer requests below, and read the whole update complete with more photos and details here!

Praises:

  • The first trip that we hosted went well and all were safe.

  • Our first English service was a joyful time of celebrating Pentecost.

Prayer Requests:

  • Culture shock has definitely been hitting us more this month. Little things that didn't bother us at first are starting to irritate us. Pray that we continue to adjust to and accept this new culture that we live in.

  • As we start to take on some ministry responsibilities, please pray that we set good rhythms and habits for our family.

  • We took a long break from school while we moved. Fortunately, schools here go until July, but the kids are sad that summer break is still so far away for us. Pray for perseverance for all of us!
