The Weary World Rejoices

Scripture Reading: Luke 2:1-7

The world is weary. Not just from current political unrest or the effects of COVID-19, but also from the effects of Satan, sin, and death which have been around since the time of Genesis 3. However, as God’s people, we have hope. God entered our weariness with a burst of joy, truth, and grace: His light has pierced the darkness. And He now continues through this life with us, so may we rejoice in Him, receive Him, and share Him with others as we wait for Him to return.

Dan served as the Dean of Redeemer from January 2022-May 2025. As dean, Dan served as the equivalent of what many people think of as the “Senior Pastor” of the church, giving oversight to the doctrine, worship, vision, community, and mission of the church.

Dan is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication, earned his Masters from Trinity School for Ministry, and his Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary with a concentration in church planting. His first book, entitled Planting in Word and Sacrament, was published in May 2023.
