Expectancy

Cultivating and tending to a personal, dynamic relationship with the Holy Spirit is an essential aspect of the Christian life. It is not optional. More than simply a doctrine to affirm or a subject we study, the Holy Spirit is a Person to know, to listen to, to grieve over offending, and to walk with daily. Like any relationship, it has to be nurtured and given real attention. Left untended, our relationship with the Holy Spirit withers, and we end up living on ideas about God rather than the presence of God.

While a key aspect of this series is about the spiritual gifts, our hope is not simply that we would learn about them, but that we would come to know our gifts, be encouraged in them, equipped to steward them well, and released to use them in a protected, fruitful manner.
