Called By Name
How does an enemy become a brother? In this week’s sermon, we hear about Saul’s conversion from the chief interrogator and prosecutor of followers of Christ, to Jesus calling him by name as a chosen instrument to bring the gospel to the nations. We also learn about Jesus’s calling on Ananias to go and minister to Saul—a man who had a direct order to arrest anyone following Jesus. Two men called by God, whose obedience and faith in this moment brought the good news of salvation to the ends of the earth for generations to come.
