What does it look like to turn away from our old self and ways of being and put on our new self in Christ? In the midst of many divisions among Jewish followers of Christ and new Gentile believers, Paul writes this letter to the Colossian church reminding them of what it looks like to live together as resurrected people: turning away from focusing on our differences, to instead set our minds on “things above.”

Melissa has been on staff at Church of the Redeemer since 2016 and was ordained as a deacon in February 2022. In January 2024, Melissa began a new role within our diocese as a part of their Next Generation Leadership Development. As a part of this, she is also the director of Camp Booyah, an Anglican summer camp for youth. She previously worked in children's ministry, directed an inner city tutoring program, and served as a youth ministry director for 3 years. 

She is married to Randy and has two children who are her favorite people in the world, River and Asher.
