Christ the King Among Us

On Christ the King Sunday, we remember that even in the midst of political and social divisions, Christ alone is “King of Kings, and Lord of Lords” (Rev. 19:16). The title of “king” can stir up all kinds of imagery and history has shown us all kinds of kings and rulers, so what kind of king is Christ? In this week’s sermon, Deacon Ashley walks us through Psalm 46, which shows us that while earthly kings may rule from afar, Christ is a King that is present with his people and invites them to seek refuge and rest in him, even in the midst of a chaotic world..
