Who Do You Say I Am?

As we continue through the season of Epiphany, where Jesus’s identity and mission is continually being revealed, we find ourselves looking at the story where Jesus asks his disciples, “Who do the people say that I am?” After a few respond with various prophets and religious teachers, he then asks them, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter boldly proclaims, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

This story invites us to ask ourselves that very same question: Who do you say that Jesus is? A good moral teacher, a madman, or is he the Christ?
