In this week’s sermon, we learn more about what it looks like for believers to participate with Christ in this new life. For the Roman Christians at the time of Paul’s letter, often that looked like facing suffering and even death, just as Christ faced on the way to the Calvary. This is still a reality for many Christians around the world today. And yet…though there may be times of persecution, and we may feel the sorrow and suffering of believers around the world, the love of God persists and overcomes the hardships of this world.

Melissa has been on staff at Church of the Redeemer since 2016 and was ordained as a deacon in February 2022. In January 2024, Melissa began a new role within our diocese as a part of their Next Generation Leadership Development. As a part of this, she is also the director of Camp Booyah, an Anglican summer camp for youth. She previously worked in children's ministry, directed an inner city tutoring program, and served as a youth ministry director for 3 years. 

She is married to Randy and has two children who are her favorite people in the world, River and Asher.
