Advent Collaborative

On November 28th, the first Sunday of Advent 2021, plan to stay after the service and decorate your wreath together in the Greenhouse! You may also take your materials home, or just purchase the candle refills. Please make sure to register at the link below for this time!

  • Supplies for Advent Wreath This includes greenery, other decoration options for your wreath, four taper candles (one pink, three purple), one white candle for the center, and an Advent wreath prayer card. For this option, you should bring your own metal frame.

  • Advent Wreath & Supplies Is this your first time having an Advent Wreath or you can't find your old frame? Choose this option for a frame/base. This option includes all of the supplies listed above to complete your wreath after church or at home.

  • Candle Refills Just need candles? This will include four taper candles (one pink, three purple) and a white candle for the center.

  • Toddler-safe Advent candles If you'd like to allow your small children to enjoy the tradition of the advent wreath without a flame, these battery-powered tealights in Advent wreath colors are perfect for you.

We look forward to being creative with you!

Jubilee CCO Conference

3.6.21 _ 9a-6p _ The Greenhouse.png

Every year our college students make the drive up to Pittsburgh for the annual Jubilee Conference. But on March 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. our college ministry is actually hosting this year's virtual Jubilee Conference here in the Greenhouse!

Jubilee is an annual conference put on by our college ministry partner, The Coalition for Christian Outreach (or CCO), and it is about integrating the Biblical narrative with every part of our lives. The conference is intended to help students see how all of life matters to God—including work! There are 4 main sessions that focus on each aspect of the Biblical narrative: Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration. The speakers this year are Tish Harrison Warren, Timotheus Pope, Jon Tyson, and Ashlee Eiland!

There are also 20+ workshops that focus on a specific career field and how that specific career actively brings God's Kingdom to earth as it is in heaven, and how it specifically participates in restoring creation. The workshop topics range from creative writing and the gospel, to medicine, and history, and law, and social justice and everything in between!

Pray that this would be transformative in the life of our students from Guilford College, UNCG, A&T, UNC, and more. Also, because we have the privilege of hosting right here locally, we want to invite all high school juniors and seniors, as well as Fellows!

If you’re interested in attending or want to learn more please talk to Judson or Rachel.
